Patty McGuire, Secretary / Treasurer
If you have ever called the church office and heard the
joyous, heartfelt welcome of our secretary and treasurer, "Good morning,
Lawrence Heights Christian Church," then you have been blessed by Patty
McGuire. Her enthusiasm and love for the Lord are traits that you cannot help
but notice when you meet this woman of God.
Patty has served on staff here at L.H.C.C. for 8 years,
giving her the longest tenor among current employees. There is no doubt that
she is the 'nuts and bolts' that keep the office running smoothly. In addition
to her current paid position, Patty has served in different capacities here at
This year, Patty and her husband, Larry, will celebrate 20 years
of marriage. Praise God! Not only Patty, but the entire McGuire family has
blessed our congregation over the past 16 years. Her three sons, Brandon,
Sheldon, and Jacob; and one daughter, Sara, demonstrate the love of God that
she and Larry have instilled in their children. In addition, Patty has been
blessed with one grandchild and one on the way!
One thing is for sure: If you have not had one of Patty's
beautifully decorated cakes, you have not lived.
When asked what her favorite verse was, she said 1 John
4:19, "We love because He first loved us." Patty says, "This is
why we do what we do."
That is the best way one could describe Patty McGuire; Loving one another.
