From its first meeting in a new home at 9th and Swartz Road in 1957, to its ministry efforts of today, God has blessed this church with many changes and growth opportunities. Though it all, He has guided us to a renewed commitment to the great commandment - Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind, love your neighbor as yourself. (Matthew 22:37-40) and the great commission Go and make disciples of all nations
baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all I command them (Matthew 28:19-20)
Until the Lord’s return, we will remain committed to glorifying Christ through a lifestyle of worship, showing Christ’s love through fellowship, teaching Christ’s Word through discipleship, serving Christ through ministry and sharing Christ through evangelism.
During
the weekend of October 26th through October 28th, 2007,
Lawrence Heights Christian Church celebrated it’s historic 50th
Anniversary. The festivities included
concerts, a carnival, a nostalgic review of LHCC’s history through fellowship,
the rededication of the refurbished cross-tower, a photo shoot for a new church
pictorial directory, as well as a huge amount of love and laughter! Most importantly, God received all the
praise, honor and glory for His hand of provision over the past 50 years and a
renewed commitment to faithfully serve the Lord until His return.
